The Ultimate Desert Racer from Traxxas is designed with a sharp focus on realism and recreating the real Trophy Trucks from Baja 1000 - both in terms of design and details but also in terms of handling characteristics. The chassis is made as a real tubeframe with a 4-link solid live rear axle design that allows for really long travel on the 8 shock absorbers (two for each wheel). The car's suspension is set up to provide driving characteristics just like the real trucks, so you get a really cool and entertaining experience when you let it rip. Like the real trucks, it has double dampers for each wheel, and GTR dampers with extra long travel, developed especially for the UDR.

The car is without comparison the best scale replica Traxxas makes. Chassis, interior, BFGoodrich wheels, suspension, LED front and rear lights - even small miniature replica fire extinguishers and reservoir for the shock absorbers.

Technology and Power

The UDR is crammed with technology to give you the coolest driving experience. The powerful, brushless Velineon 2200kV motor and waterproof 6S-compatible VXL-6S ESC provides massive torque to conquor the terrain, while still providing plenty of power for flat stretches with a top speed of 80 km/h. With the built-in TQi telemetry transmitter, the car's data can be sent live directly to your phone and give you an overview of everything that is going on, while the adjustable TSM Stability system helps you out if you lose control.

With 204 powerful LED bulbs distributed both at the front and the rear, there are now completely new opportunities to race at night or in the dark.

Traxxas Ultimate Desert Racer comes fully assembled with a Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz transmitter, painted body with stickers, glued tires and detailed instructions. Traxxas supports the UDR and all their other products with the best support. Full assortment of spare parts makes it possible to replace everything should something break. Your Traxxas remote controlled car is also protected by the Traxxas Lifetime Electronics warranty.

All you need to get started is a Traxxas charger and two of your favorite Traxxas 3S LiPo batteries. We recommend the EZ-Peak series of fast chargers and batteries with a capacity of at least 3000 mAh each for longer driving times between recharging.
