The Land Rover Defender is an offroading icon, which for decades has been the vehicle of choice for explorers venturing into the unknown. The Traxxas TRX-4 Scale and Trail crawler recreates the Defender in exacting detail with all the capability and versatility of the award-winning TRX-4 crawler platform. The Traxxas TRX-4 combines authentic scale realism with class-leading crawler performance for exciting off-road adventure no matter where the trail takes you. With a 3S LiPo compatible XL5 HV ESC and Titan 550 21T motor, the Defender has plenty of torque to tackle the steepest inclines and will run up to 2 hours on a 3S 5000mAh LiPo pack!

The features that has made the TRX-4 an award-wining RC crawler are all in the Defender: High-clearance portal axles, remote-operated T-Lock differentials, 2 speed High and Low transmission, shocks in aluminium and a steel-ladder frame - just to mention a few.

The portal axles offer quite a bit of ingenuity to increase ground clearance. To achieve the same increase through tire size alone, it would require your tires to be over an inch wider in diameter! This allows the TRX-4 Defender to scale large rocks without the negative impact on the cars center of gravity. The axles also use gear reduction at the wheels to eliminate torque twist. This means that the Titan 550 motor can use its power to go forward, rather than wasting the energy and twisting your car off the rocks.

The car is built on a rigid heavy-duty steel frame with molded cross-members. This increases rigidity, making the car more predictable and easier to handle on technical trails. Similarly, the aluminium shocks offer super smooth dampening as well as true-to-scale looks to match that beautiful body.

An award-winning Rock Crawler

The TRX-4 Land Rover Defender uses some of the best electronics Traxxas has to offer. The Traxxas TQi radio system allows you to easily operate the 2-speed transmission and T-Lock differentials, as well as activate Cruise Control for those super slow ascents. By adding the #6511 Wireless Module to the car, you can even customise settings and monitor all important data on the car while on the go.

It obviously wouldn't be a very good rock crawler if it couldn't handle some water. So the ESC and servo are of course waterproof with the receiver fully protected in a watertight enclosure as well. Water, snow or mud, the TRX-4 can handle it!

The Land Rover licensed Defender body is in a league of its own. Details like mirrors, fender flares and roll cage are injection-molded, providing an incredible level of detail. Combined with unique tow hooks, spare tire and jerry cans the impression of the unique true-to-scale look of the 1/10 Defender really shines through.

Delivered fully assembled - Just add batteries

The Traxxas TRX-4 Land Rover Defender 1/10 is delivered fully assembled with a Traxxas TQi 2.4 GHz radio system, painted and decaled body, pre-glued tires. Traxxas backs the car with top-notch support that is second to none and the car is also protected by the Traxxas Lifetime Electronics Warranty.

All you need to get going is a Traxxas charger and your Traxxas 6-7 cell NiMH or 2S-3S LiPo batteries of choice. We recommend the EZ-Peak range of fast chargers and batteries with a capacity of minimum 3000mAh for longer drive times between re-charging.
