Tamiya 58700 Land Rover Defender 1990 (wo/ ESC)
The Land Rover Defender 90 is a legendary car, launched in 1948 and manufactured until 2016. Whether it's been crossing the Sahara desert or the Amazon jungle, the Defender has been the adventurer's car of choice for almost 60 years. Now Tamiya Land Rover Defender 90 lets you build, paint and drive your own 1/10 version of the car and go on your own adventures into the unknown.
The Tamiya Defender is created as a true scale model, with external roll bar, front grill, side mirrors, spare wheel and much more to give the perfect Defender 90 look.
The car is built from a ladder frame with front and rear differentials to ensure both off-road capabilities and driving characteristics. Suspension consists of double wishbones at the front, with single links at the top and H-arms at the bottom, as well as rigid rear suspension.
Cross Country Tamiya CC-02 platform
The Defender is based on the solid Tamiya CC-02 platform, which has permanent 4-wheel drive and a longitudinal engine that transfers power to the front wheels via the gearbox and to the rear wheels via a universal joint propeller shaft. CC stands for Cross Country and with oil-filled CVA dampers and hard all-road tires, the Tamiya Defender 90 is ready to tackle all types of terrain.
Note: The car is delivered without an ESC. We recommend Hobbywing QuicRun 1060.
