Tamiya F104 Pro II Formula 1 Chassis

Build your own Formula 1 racer with this amazing chassis kit. The Tamiya F104 Pro II is the latest version of what is probably the world's most popular remote controlled Formula 1 chassis.

Throughout the year, Tamiya has presented a fantastic selection of remote-controlled Formula 1 cars, and the chassis have been developed and improved year after year. This latest version is faithful to the "real" cars, and is packed with wild details, carbon fiber and towering quality.

The car comes with a really nice, detailed body and with stickers. On the Pro II version, the body is made narrower with side pods and barge boards that better mirror the modern Formula 1 cars, so that it almost looks like a faithful copy of a real F1 racer. The front wing, rear spoiler, diffuser, mirrors and the crash helmet are all separate parts, so that the functionality and level of detail can be kept up to the same level as the rest of the car.

Please note that this is a chassis kit with bodywork. You must therefore choose your preferred motor, ESC, servo, transmitter and receiver for your Tamiya F104 Pro II, as well as of course battery, charger and color for the body.

Lives up to the Formula 1 heritage

The Pro II version of the Tamiya F104 has changed in a number of key respects compared to its predecessors. First and foremost, the bodywork has been updated so that they look more like modern F1 cars, and have better aerodynamics. In addition, the lower FRP chassis has been redesigned, and the battery is now lengthwise in the car for better weight distribution.

The chassis is still with T-Bar, but it is in 1.5mm FRP plate with a U-shaped cutout that provides better damping. The chassis consists of friction plates and a TRF oil shock absorber at the rear. At the front, there are independent Kingpin dampers and adjustable camber angle.

The rear tires can be changed without having to take the ball differential apart, so they can be changed quickly in the pit. The tires are semi-pneumatic synthetic rubber tires that provide a really good grip on dry surfaces. The car is of course rear-wheel drive.
